Benchmark Homebuilders is a family owned and operated design/build contracting company. With over fifty years of combined construction workmanship and knowledge both Willy and Joel Watkins serve as capable, hands-on project managers regardless of the projects scope. With our own in-house CAD designer, any dream can be turned into a reality. Together as a team, we are building our reputation one project at a time.
We are licensed and insured. We have also been accepted by the Department of Veterans Affairs as an approved builder.
Willy Watkins
Willy has been in the construction field for over 45 years. He has is a consummate craftsman and has worked on countless million dollar homes. He is known for his specialized knowledge of ground-up construction. Complicated framing details are a challenge that he enjoys solving. He has an eye for detail, and some even respectfully consider him a perfectionist at his craft. He has been married to his wife, Linda, for 47 years.
Joel Watkins
As a kid, Joel grew up on construction sites and has now been in the construction field for over 22 years. Many of these years were spent in seeking out and acquiring suitable property to build on. This eventually led to obtaining his license as a Real Estate Agent which is held with Jefferson Land & Realty. His deep understanding of construction combined with his passion for real estate has helped numerous clients. He has been married to his wife, Sheri, for 20 years. They have the ongoing adventure of raising 4 children.
